fallen_cetra: (Looking for the answers but they're gone)

Norvrandt, huh? Yeah, that definitely doesn't ring any bells.

[Her hand goes still on the serpent as her shoulders sag, shifting it higher in her arms to hug it close. For once the serpent contains its wriggling, peering up at her and then to him as Aerith seems almost in danger of crying. She doesn't, she hates showing weakness in front of others, especially strangers. It takes her a moment to collect herself, petting the beast in her arms.]

So that's it, then... [She sighs, shaking off her slump after a moment.] I knew I'd felt something messing around with the Lifestream but I'd just thought it was Jenova again. Guess I was wrong. You don't happen to know if maybe I could make my way back?

[It's almost hopeful, but there's something in her voice and expression that makes it clear she's not expecting a positive answer. Or for there to be a home for her to return to. Somehow she has a sinking feeling that Gaia is gone, her moment of inattentiveness at the feel of someone pulling her away enough to leave it open to attack.

So with a humorless laugh, her lips quirk, and she glances up at him through the unruly mess her hair's become. Easier to laugh and push the problems aside to be sorted out later, right now she has more immediate problems. The humidity of the forest is making her hair curl and frizz even more than usual as it dries, and she tries her best to push it out of her face.

Well, let's just say at least one of them was really determined. You learn after the first two mobs of soldiers come stomping through town to keep out of sight, you know?
