[The forests of Rak'tika are never particularly loud, by most standards. Oh, there are the various noises of the creatures living there, but the vast majority of the inhabitants tend to not stray too far from their relative villages and - provided one knows where to go to avoid the usual paths - it's a perfect suitable place to take a nap. As such, it should perhaps come as no surprise that's exactly what he's done. Simply settled in against the trunk of a suitable tree and let himself drift away.
As such, he is quite unaware of the fact that between one moment and the next he's not the only individual from another world present in the forest. Instead, he sleeps on, quite unaware of anything else going on.]

Everything was wrong and she wasn't exactly sure how to explain it. But she did wish that the forest would lay off at least a little.]
I'm up, I'm up! See, I'm up already. Geeze, not even a proper hello...
[Wiping the lake water from her eyes would have been easier if she wasn't sodden from head to toe. But even if her hair hung heavy around her shoulders and her clothes clung uncomfortably, Aerith found her attention drawn more to the ancient tree and the massive crystal it held tight, and the squirming, wriggling, bouncy little...what was that?
Cocking her head as she peered at her striped companion, it blinked its beady little eyes at her and let out a quiet sound at her.]
Ah, so you're the welcome committee, then? Any idea why I had to wake up in the water and not on a nice patch of dry land?
[Eyebrows arching, she waited patiently, but no answer seemed forthcoming aside from another wriggle and a sense of anticipation bleeding off the little serpent. Well, perhaps the best thing to do was at least get out of the water, though standing proved to be an experience, her limbs uncooperative after years of disuse. Better yet was she didn't fall, though there was a worrying moment when her new little friend seemed determined to try and leap into her arms while she was trying to untangle her feet from some water weeds, but a sharp frown deterred it from trying again. At least she could wring the water from her dress and hair without too much trouble from her stiffened joints. It was better than nothing, and gave her time to take in her surroundings as the world seemed to slowly stop spinning.]
Well, it's very pretty here, I'll give you that. Very old...but I'll bet two gil we're not on Gaia. How on earth did I end up here?
