Aether/Soul Sensing Permissions
One of the things Emet-Selch is capable of doing is sensing not just the aether (read: life energy) that exists within all living things but also people's souls, each of which has its own unique color. While this is something he has to actively focus on, doing so is trivial enough for it to be something like second nature for him. He can't actually interact with anyone's soul under most circumstances, however (and I will ping players oocly on the exceedingly unlikely chance that the circumstances that would allow him to do so come up), but he's almost certainly going to make notice of them.
1. Can Emet-Selch sense your character's soul? Do they have one? Is there anything going that prevent him from being able to do so?
2. If yes, what color is your character's soul? If your canon doesn't say, feel free to pick whatever - FFXIV appears to operate on a "one soul = one color" system, but there are no real limits beyond that.
3. Is there anything else going on in your character's aether you want him to be able to pick up on? This can include things like being heavily aspected to one element or another as well as corruption from one source or another.

3. He has a pact with a demon so his soul, while safely in his body, is probably "owned" by someone else. The residue of repeated demonic influence is probably perceptible in Ford's whole vibe.

Yes, he can! Crow very much has a soul and it is not hard to see. IN FACT, there is so much to see here. More details below in Q3.

AZURE. It is absolutely saturated azure.

His soul is Time/Water aspected (Time is an element in Trails-world) and also there is so much weird shit going on over here.
• Dude is absolutely supposed to be fucking dead. He is in fact an undead immortal.
• His soul is attached to SOMETHING ELSE. Spoilers it is a sentient giant robot (that isn't here right now but might be at some point WHO KNOWS).
• About the giant robot. OKAY SO TAKE TWO PIECES OF DIVINE POWER. SMASH THEM TOGETHER. AND THEN SPLIT IT INTO SEVEN PARTS. That is what the giant robot is.
• And this dude's soul is attached to it.

THERE IS NOTHING PREVENTING HIM FROM SEEING KATOU'S SOUL. He has a soul! It is there and it is easy to see. It's very soulful.

OKAY I AM EXTREMELY FFXIV CANON FAMILIAR and I KNOW one soul = one colour generally but here me out, this guy has so many drugs that RAINBOWS--
Okay no, I'm going to take this seriously. It's probably a grungy kinda brown-greenish colour.
(Alternately: RAINBOWS. PSCHYDELIC SWIRLS. Like my dude, please lay off the drugs I am begging you.)

• This guy is dead. Not undead, just straight, up he is DEAD.
• (His body is not. His body is alive! It is a robot body except it's a robot made of plants instead of cyborg parts. Yes I ama 100% serious.)
• Also there is like. A small piece of HOLY POWER attached to it. It is not originally his holy power, but it's his now. It is kinda shaped like.... THREE WINGS? It is very very very holy like small but extremely bright white light holy.

It is a lavender/purple-y colour. Vibrant but also very pastel.

• Her soul is WATER/LIGHTNING ASPECTED.
• She is a REINCARNATE which yeah okay isn't that unusual by FFXIV standards but it is a significantly younger soul than any other Honkai Star Rail dragon people you may see running around.
• Man idk can soulsight show that WEIRD MAGIC BULLSHIT HAPPENED AT SOME POINT and that it is OLDER THAN HER PRESENT FORM? At some point, WEIRD MAGIC BULLSHIT HAPPENED. What is it? Soulsight sure as fuck ain't gonna be able to tell but it's like, touches the ground, Something Happened Here and there are Traces of What The Fuck Even Happened? Like someone got real freaky with soul experimentation.
• That being said, I wouldn't call that CORRUPTION perse, she's a good girl she's just. What the fuck happened here. Someone did SHENANIGANS at some point in the distant past to this soul.

2. Blue - the same as the colour that shines through the patterns of his wings, and all throughout his demon form. Because that's just straight up his soul out there in the open actually!

- Done a lot of soul sex with Lahabrea so, like, a little blended in there
- Soul's been physically torn apart a lot and while it's mostly repaired by now, some bits are just missing and there's remnants of outside corruption

- Doesn't have his sword at the moment but for when he does, the sword is him, he is the sword, it's made of other souls but his is fully mingled with it and the main influence
- Also Lahabrea wears a sageo originally from the sword so basically he wears a piece of Vergil's soul
- His brand of demons are a lot like voidsent, all about feeding on life force. He's built up A Lot, far too much
- His ring is many miscellaneous bits of souls, they're definitely having a really bad time. Sorry he's probably a bit of a horror show for soul sight

Emet-Selch will probably be able to tell both his body and soul has been fucked with extensively: namely, his physical form was reanimated with the condensed life energy/souls of a shitton of people, and his own soul is fragmented in two: an outer shell and a core that is darker. He is basically a bee-hive of 'what kind of freaky necromancy happened here'.

A STELLARON IS. basically. a strange item (star? something? ???) that infects and spreads through planets like a cancer, usually causing ecological/civilization destruction as it goes. it's technically "alive" but within val it's dormant except during times of high stress or similar.
if he can tell, she's not a natural-born creature and was created for this purpose, but she's still entirely biological for the most part. megumi did mistake her for an entelechy/similar to the meteia due to being a halovian and having neck wings

Mithra is probably heavily aspected to ice/darkness, using FF14 elements as a guide. He is also very not human despite appearances, and might read like a baby ascian almost LMAO(he's only around 1500, but wizards are nigh-immortal highly magical creatures in mhyk who turn to mana stones once they die).
Also he has something like a scar on his soul I guess? He fought the moon and the wound he got is that he can't sleep.

It's supposed to be wiped clean every reincarnation, but Dan Heng got screwed and still has lingering bits of previous lives floating around in there. He's heavily aspected towards water, with a significant reservoir of aether accumulated over many lifetimes, which he rarely taps into.

Soul is very old and kind of looks like when you shred your four month's worth of credit card bills, try to put it back together with dollar store glue because they might be useful, use it to wrap leftovers you forget it on the kitchen counter, throw it in the compostables trash bin, and then you come across it a week later crawling over with alive things

It has caused some exterior damage in the form of kintsugi-like scars on his torso and white streaks in his hair. The interior damage was all healed by Ardbert, though. Feel free to say hi to him while you're looking. :D

+ Because of the above the twelve thousand years of Athena corruption is there! Just all in there.
+ His soul color is a little mingled with Vergil's. They soul fucking.
+ He wears a piece of Vergil's soul, usually braided into his hair.
+ Corruption? Speaking of corruption his soul looks like it was shredded into tiny pieces and then glued back together using miscellaneous scraps of souls. This has resulted in dark cracks of corruption more recent and more ugly than even the Athena stuff.
+ However! Emet might recognize his own (???) handiwork in mitigating the worst parts of the corruption. Some version of him has worked really hard to keep the old man (relatively) sane.
+ If Emet gazes too long into the abyss of Lahabrea's soul he'll see traces of his own and Themis mingled in there don't find the cursed knowledge that some version of you and Themis soul fucked an old man.

2. Night sky dark. The illithid tadpole’s soul is bright greenish-purple.
3. Yeah there’s two or three souls in there. The green one has a touch of something otherworldly, but seems moooostly normal? It’s a very young soul.
If he looks at Lyle’s soul closely enough, he might notice it’s two souls swirled and laid over each other. One is mortal, one is not, but both together have magic with a feeling of a windy night or a breeze whispering through a cave.
